I’m so excited! I think in today’s publishing world, it’s important to be involved in all aspects. And with self publishing, authors now have a way to put their backlist or books they never sold out for people to enjoy. Especially when traditional books release dates are so spread out.
I’m thrilled to announce my first book ever, a romantic comedy called DESTINY WEARS SPURS, is now available in the Kindle format. I will be adding a Nook format as well as paperback soon, but at least it’s out there.
This is NOT a cozy, but it does still have my sense of humor and quirky characters. So for all my mystery fans who don’t mine romantic comedies…enjoy 🙂 For the rest of my fans, CORPSE IN THE CRYSTAL BALL will be available in June! yay.
And just so there’s no confusion, my mysteries and middle grade books will be written under Kari Lee Townsend. Whereas, my romantic comedies and women’s fiction will be written under Kari Lee Harmon.
I am so thrilled with my fabulous cover! Here’s the info on Destiny, and happy new year everyone! I plan to make 2012 a fabulous year!

“Great read! I can’t wait for Kari’s next cowboy book.”–Christine Wenger, author of How to Lasso a Cowboy, Harlequin Books
“Monica Hammond, an ant-acid popping, city-slick artist at her father’s New York ad agency must win her client’s business–and pleasure–in this agreeable romance. She is ostensibly sent to a Colorado dude ranch to create her first full ad campaign (copy and art) for its owner Cody Rafferty–and to test her fitness to inherit the business–before the company’s reins are handed over to the star exec, her scheming ex-fiance Wendell Thorndike, whom she suspects wants to ruin her father. Monica is unprepared for the yummy, old-fashioned rancher, who, with his cleft chin, is a shoe-in for a Wrangler model. There’s an immediate uncontrollable spark between them, from the first–of many times–she falls into his muscle bound arms, distracting them both from their duties. A self-described “disaster magnet,” Monica adapts to western life, but not without flinging a bit of manure and needing an occasional rescue from roused horses and bulls. Packed with the required amounts of lascivious innuendo, improbable miscommunication, and amply narrated consummations, the author presents a middling fantasy of love on the range.”–Publishers Weekly
One Temperamental Colorado Cowboy + one phony ad campaign + one quirky NY ad exec = one wild Rocky Mountain ride in Destiny Wears Spurs!”
Monica Hammond–New York ad exec at Hammond’s Advertising Agency–will do anything to save her father’s company from her ex-fiance, but she never imagines that will involve working beside cowboys on a Colorado dude ranch. With the boss looking like the centerfold for a Hot Men of the West calendar, her slogans sound more like an advertisement for a singles’ ranch than a family run operation. While Cody Rafferty–owner of Rafferty’s Remote Ranch–only agrees to need a phony ad campaign because he owes her father a favor and her crazy antics are making more work for him than it’s worth, but he can’t help rooting for the spunky little spitfire. Falling in lust is one thing, but falling in love isn’t part of the plany, only sometimes destiny has a mind of its own.

I’m working on getting the Nook version up soon, followed by the print version.
In the meantime, I knew people created tiny url’s, but I had no idea how to do that. Well I found this site and not only can you create a tiny url for anything, but you can customize it to say whatever you want…like the title of your book.
